Vault Dweller

After being aware that Secretcon is having an event in a post WWII war underground bunker, that is 100ft (~30m) underground used by the Royal Navy to plot the progress of the allied troops during the invasion of Normandy on D-Day. I thought, what an unique location filled with history and I should create something in the post apocaliptic aesthetic to match the vibe of the location. As a fan of the Fallout franchise i knew the Vault Dweller is the perfect choice.

Creation process
I made the cosplay from scratch as I do enjoy challenging myself with complicated sewing, and this project took all my tailoring, detailing and texture making skill on another level.
To achieve the best fit i made many drafts and 3 mock us before I was happy with the shape. I have used 6 diffrent fabrics to diversify textures of the cosplay. It took me over 5 weeks to finish the project. It was a intense project since design required a lot of engineering and problem solving
